Do you have a pet parrot that is aggressive, bites family members or won't let you touch it? Come to our seminar to get tips from an internationally recognized animal trainer and behavior expert, Barbara Heidenreich.
Ms. Heidenreich literally travels the world offering workshops on how to train a wide variety of animals?everything from dogs and cats to tigers, rhinos and fish. She has worked with animal handlers at Zoo Heidelberg in Germany, has made presentations at top veterinary schools, including UC Davis and Texas A&M University. She is also the founder of Good Bird, Inc.
She is the featured speaker at a fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 10, for the Capitol City Bird Society, which is an organization of bird owners, breeders and fanciers who support and encourage the understanding can care of exotic birds. Her two-hour seminar begins at 7 p.m. at the Sacramento YWCA. She will provide strategies for dealing with common problems parrot owners face, such as birds screaming for attention, biting or exhibiting other kinds of aggressive behaviors.
